Background Information

Staatsolie launches the "Helping Hands" program to address the growing needs of the Surinamese community amid the challenging economic conditions. This initiative empowers our employees to make a collective impact by sharing their knowledge, resources, time, and skills with those in need. Employees form teams of 15 to 20 people and collaboratively choose a volunteer project they wish to undertake. Once approved, each project receives a budget of US$2,500 for implementation.

The program prioritizes sustainable projects that offer long-term benefits to the community. We emphasize activities where employees can actively participate, such as renovations and painting.
