This donation aimed to address acute needs within the medical sector. Since 2023, various projects have been funded as part of this initiative, benefiting healthcare institutions throughout Suriname.

The completion of the Diakonessenhuis marks the successful conclusion of this initiative. A total of 24 projects have been carried out at various healthcare institutions. These projects include the acquisition of equipment for pediatric cardiac surgery missions and other urgently needed equipment, various medical supplies, medicines, and the establishment of the Education Center at the Academic Hospital.

Healthcare is one of Staatsolie's focus areas for social investment. The company remains committed to supporting the Surinamese community.

"At the moment we heard we would receive advanced equipment, a dream came true. With the right equipment, we can save the lives of our young Surinamese patients." - G. van der Leeuw (Midwife, Diakonessenhuis)
